Ortho Trauma – 1 Year - Will License - Ohio

Job description

Orthopedic Trauma Physician for coverage at a leading academic medical center in Ohio. The opportunity is for up to one year locum coverage, with full-time coverage preferred and flexibility for physicians who may have alternative availability. Will assist with licensing for Ohio!

Opportunity Highlights
- Coverage: Up to 1 year
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexibility based on provider availability
- Typical hours: 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Setting: Onsite
- Call: Approximately a couple of days per month
- EMR: Epic

Clinical Focus
The physician will provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma care, primarily involving:
- Pelvic fractures
-Long-bone fractures
-Lower-extremity trauma, primarily hip and below
-Complex orthopedic trauma cases
- Not included: Hand, wrist, or spin. trauma.

Residents cover the Emergency Department, while the attending provides imaging review and oversight as needed. The trauma team includes 3 trauma surgeons, approximately 3 PAs/NPs, and 3 residents per shift, with additional hospital support available.

Requirements
- Fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Trauma
- 5+ years of experience
- Board certified
- Significant Level I trau. experience
-Experience managing complex orthopedic
-Active Ohio medical license required; licensing assistance available
- BLS and ACLS
