Job description

A Level II Trauma Center in Pennsylvania is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for ongoing locum tenens coverage beginning in September.

Opportunity Highlights:
Specialty: Orthopedic Trauma Surgery
Location: Pennsylvania
Practice Setting: Hospital-Based
Start Date: September – Ongoing
Schedule: 24-Hour Call Coverage (6:00 AM – 6:00 AM)
Coverage Need: Minimum of one provider to cover three weekends per month (Friday 6:00 AM through Monday 6:00 AM)
Trauma Designation: Level II Trauma Center
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: Approximately 90 days

Clinical Responsibilities:
Manage a full range of orthopedic trauma cases
Conduct hospital rounds, consults, and limited clinic responsibilities from 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Provide overnight call coverage from 4:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), who may request physician consultation on complex patients
Deliver comprehensive orthopedic trauma care in a high-acuity trauma setting

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship required
Must be a trauma-trained orthopedic surgeon
Active Pennsylvania medical license required
