EMR System Used: Epic
Reason for Coverage Need: (e.g., vacancy, leave, expansion, vacation): Physician put in notice. Looking to replace that provider and hire an additional
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
End Date / Ongoing Need: Ongoing until a permanent option can be hired
Are specific date ranges or blocks preferred? 4 week rotating schedule; 7 day block 1 out of 4 weeks; would consider a local provider available for 1-2 days per week; shift time is day shift only, pager call 6:30am – 6:30pm; no night call; mostly bread and butter trauma cases
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
Will emergency privileging be considered? Yes, but provider must have clean file
Required Subspecialty or Case Types:
(e.g., general, joints, trauma, sports, hand, foot & ankle) – bread and butter trauma cases; pelvic trauma experience preferred but not required
Inpatient consults or rounding expected? Yes
Will the provider have clinic responsibilities? This could change, but for now, no
Average surgical cases per day/week: 3-4 cases per day
Are APPs or surgical assistants provided? – lots of Physician Assistants for OR assist and rounding
Provider Requirements:
Board Certification Required – will consider BE
• Fellowship Training Required: ortho trauma surg
• Minimum Years of Experience: will look at someone out of residency
• Must provider be trauma-trained: yes
• Any required procedures or must-have skills: Geriatric fractures, neck; but overall bread and butter trauma cases
Licensure & Credentialing:
• Which state license(s) are required? WA state license or IMLC
• Will the facility consider licensing support for out-of-state providers? Yes
Additional Information:
• Is there an opportunity to extend or go perm? Yes
- 1 week/month
- Bread and butter trauma cases; pelvic trauma experience preferred but not required
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
