Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Audiologist for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Yakima, Washington. This outpatient position offers a predictable weekday schedule with no call, allowing providers to focus on delivering high-quality hearing healthcare in a collaborative ENT clinic.
The Audiologist will provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, hearing aid services, patient education, and follow-up care for patients across the lifespan.
Job Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations, including:
Pure tone air conduction testing
Bone conduction testing
Speech audiometry
Impedance audiometry
Interpret audiological test results for patients and referring providers
Recommend appropriate medical referrals and treatment plans
Conduct hearing aid evaluations and device selection
Fit, program, and verify hearing aids
Educate patients on hearing aid use, care, and maintenance
Perform hearing aid troubleshooting and routine maintenance
Document patient encounters accurately using Epic EMR
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide comprehensive patient care
Working Hours
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No weekends
No call
Schedule modifications may be considered for qualified candidates
Qualifications
Master's or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
Completion of required clinical practicum
Current Washington Audiologist license (preferred)
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) required for Master's degree graduates
Au.D. graduates from an approved institution meet the professional work experience requirement
Current BLS Certification
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Experience in outpatient audiology preferred
