Locum Pain Management Physician

Job description

A reputable outpatient facility is seeking Board-Certified Pain Medicine Physicians for a long-term locum tenens opportunity starting September 1, 2025. The client will consider either one full-time provider or two providers alternating 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off.

Position Details:

📅 Start Date: September 1, 2025

📆 Contract Length: Ongoing

🕐 Schedule:

Monday–Friday

2 days/week at adjacent outpatient surgery center

3 days/week in clinic

Open to full-time OR 2 weeks/month commitment

Work Environment:
🏥 Practice Setting: 100% outpatient

💻 EMR: Epic

👥 Patient Load: 12–15 patients per shift

👨‍⚕️ Support Staff: Fully staffed team

👨‍⚕️ Providers Needed: 2


Required Skills:
Epidural injections

Facet injections

Ablations

Other interventional procedures (performed in the surgery center)

Candidate Requirements:
✅ Board Certification: Required (Pain Medicine)

🪪 License: Active California medical license (IMLC not accepted)

📄 Certifications:

Active Fluoroscopy Permit

ACLS

📝 Case Logs:

Documented 100+ cases from the past 24 months matching requested privileges

⏱ Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days
