Pain Management Physician needed – SC-Based Outpatient Practice with Full Support Staff - in a Scenic City
Job description
Specialty: Pain Management Physician (Anesthesiologist or Physiatrist)
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (expected ~90 days)
Contract Length: 3 months with option to extend
Schedule & Shift Details
Days/Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Coverage Needed: 3–4 days per week
Call/Weekends/Holidays: None (No nights, weekends, call, or holidays)
Practice Setting
Environment: Outpatient, freestanding physician offices
Practice History: Over 25 years in operation
Hospital Affiliation: None (non-hospital setting)
Clinical Responsibilities
Case Load: 25–30 procedures per day
Patient Type: Adults with acute and chronic pain
Clinical Focus:
100% interventional pain procedures
No new patients, no follow-ups, no medication prescriptions
(Handled by other providers)
Procedures Performed:
Epidural steroid injections (cervical/thoracic/lumbar)
Facet blocks & radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
SI joint & joint injections
Spinal cord stimulator trials
Kyphoplasty
Advanced nerve blocks:
Stellate, celiac, lumbar sympathetic, superior hypogastric, ganglion impar, gasserian, occipital
Support & Resources
Fully staffed and equipped in-office procedure suite
On-site fluoroscopy & RF generator
Support Staff:
C-arm trained radiology technician
Nurse
Medical assistant (for procedure tray prep)
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in interventional pain procedures
Basic medication management (low-dose opioids, with strict compliance monitoring)
Proficient with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)
Strong communication and bedside manner
Dealbreakers
Provider must be comfortable prescribing low MME opioids
(Strict compliance monitoring in place)
