Pain Management Physician needed in Greenville, SC! Willing to license!
Job description
Start Date: as soon as credentialed, expect 90 days
Contract Length: 3 months with option to extend
Shift Details: No nights, no weekends, no call, no holidays
Schedule: Mon–Thurs 8am–12pm & 1–5pm; Fri 8am–2pm
Work Details:
Fully staffed and equipped in-office procedure suite with fluoroscopy and RF generator so all procedures can be performed in our office and the pain physician will have full access to the equipment/procedure suite allowing the opportunity and accessibility for a high volume of procedures. ***25-30 cases/day, please include details that your provider is able to produce at this volume. ***
The interventional pain physician will do 100% injections. No new patients, no follow ups and no medication prescriptions. We have other providers that will handle that.
• Support staff: The interventional physician will be equipped with a well trained team of support staff to include interventional pain management trained c-arm rad tech, nurse and medical assistant to help build the procedure trays
• Amount of coverage needed: 3-4 days/week

• Patient population/age: Adult (acute and chronic pain management)
• Department description: Outpatient interventional pain management, 7 locations in SC, >25 years in practice
• EMR: eClinicalWorks
• Hospital bed size: N/A (outpatient freestanding offices)
• Special procedures: Cervical/thoracic/lumbar epidural steroid injections, facet blocks/RFA, SI joint injections, joint injections, spinal cord stimulator trials, kyphoplasty, stellate/celiac/lumbar sympathetic/superior hypogastric/ganglion impar/gasserian/occipital nerve blocks. All services performed as outpatient in freestanding physician offices.
• Skills required: Interventional pain procedures, medication management (low-dose opioids, strict compliance monitoring), EHR proficiency, strong communication/bedside manner.
• Dealbreakers: Must be comfortable with low MME doses of pain meds.
We follow very strict compliance with our medication management patients including frequent drug testing with metabolite confirmation, checking of the centralized database prescription monitoring system in the applicable state, pill counts, etc. Our average patient receives 40-50 MME.
Physician must be computer literate/familiar with E.H.R., training is provided.
We are looking for someone with good interpersonal and communication skills. Having a good bedside manner and the ability to connect with patients is a must for our practice. We are searching for a team player, and someone motivated to be successful. (We have all the tools in place for the right physician)

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Preferred interventional fellowship-trained, board-certified anesthesia or physiatry
• License required: South Carolina. Client is willing to license, but credentialing cannot begin til license is in hand.
Credentialing Timeframe: expect 90 days
