Opportunity Details:
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
- Contract Length: 6 months
- Monday–Friday
- Anticipated hours of approximately 7am–5:30pm
- No weekends or holidays
- Schedule will not exceed 50 hours per week
- Pediatric population generally ranging from birth through age 21
- Busy academic medical center with complex and fast-paced cases
- May provide independent/solo anesthesia coverage for certain assignments
- May occasionally care for adolescent or young adult patients on the adult side
- Pediatric cases may include cardiac, neurological, trauma, emergency, and medically complex patients
- Epic EMR
- 129-bed dedicated Children’s Hospital with a 49-bed NICU and 24-bed PICU
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology
- M.D. or D.O.
- Active California medical license
- Active DEA
- Current CPR certification
- 50 hours of CME completed within the last 2 years
- Pediatric Anesthesiology fellowship training preferred
- ACGME fellowship training OR minimum 2 years of active practice
- Must be comfortable with the full scope of pediatric anesthesia and working independently when needed
- Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90–120 days
