Pediatric Anesthesiologist – Sacramento, CA

Assignment Details

* Location: Sacramento, CA
* Start: January 2027 or once credentialing is completed
* Assignment Length: 13 weeks
* Specialty: Pediatric Anesthesiology
* Practice Setting: Hospital
* EMR: Epic
* Credentialing: Approximately 90–120 days

Schedule

* Monday–Friday
* 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
* Includes a 30-minute break
* No weekends or holidays
* Maximum of 50 hours per week
* Schedule based on the block schedule

Clinical Details

* Pediatric patients from birth through 21 years of age
* Case volume varies based on the OR and procedural schedule
* High-acuity academic medical center with complex and fast-paced cases
* Providers may be required to work independently/solo during certain assignments
* May occasionally provide care for young adult/adolescent patients on the adult side
* Physical transport of patients may be required
* Pediatric anesthesia and pain management for scheduled and emergency procedures
* Comfortable with the full range of pediatric anesthesia procedures

Clinical Skills

* Pediatric anesthesia and airway management
* Pain management and sedation
* Perioperative care
* Care of infants, children, and medically complex patients
* Cardiac, neurological, trauma, and emergency cases
* Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork
* Ability to respond to emergencies and make sound clinical decisions under pressure

Requirements

* MD or DO; copy of diploma required
* Board Certified in Anesthesiology
* Pediatric Anesthesiology fellowship preferred
* Minimum 2 years of active practice or ACGME fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist
* Valid California medical license
* Active DEA
* Current CPR certification
* 50 hours of CME within the last 2 years
* Strong commitment to patient safety and professionalism

Additional Information

* Required training must be completed prior to the start of the assignment
* Zoom meeting will be scheduled to review the process and expectations prior to starting
