Pediatric Anesthesiologist Needed in FL

I have a client in Pembroke Pines, FL, who's seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist for locums coverage starting in September. Here are the job details.

13-week assignment

Start Date: Flexible

Contract Length: Ongoing (Open to long-term and part-time locums)

Shift Details: Daytime sedation sessions – 8-hour day guarantee
Schedule: Monday–Thursday mornings/afternoons 0730-1530 (No nights or call)

Work Details:
• Support Staff: Pediatric Dentists
• Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: Flexible (Open part-time locums coverage schedule available 3 months out)
• Patients per Day: Varies (procedural; typically low volume and high attention per patient) Appoints typically last 90 min. Approx 5-6 patients per day.
• Patient Population/Age: Pediatric (3-10 years old. No more than 99lbs.)
• Patients are triaged before they come to the center.
• Department Description: Outpatient pediatric dental sedation center with focus on safety, recovery, and comfort
• EMR:
• Hospital Bed Size: N/A – outpatient setting
• Special Procedures: Incremental sedation (minimal to deep), airway management, recovery oversight
• Skills Required: Pediatric sedation, airway management

Practice Setting:
• Ambulatory Surgery Center
• Clinic/Private Practice

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Required – MD or DO, Board Certified in Pediatric Anesthesiology
• License Required: FL license (Active or willing to obtain)
• DEA: Required
• CSR: Required (if applicable in Florida)
• Certifications Required: PALS
• Minimum Experience Required: Pediatric sedation experience (dental or outpatient preferred)
