Pediatric Anesthesiologist – Dental Sedation (Locum Tenens, FL License Required)

Start Date: September 1, 2025 (flexible)
Employment Type: 1099 Locum Tenens
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours (No Call)

Schedule & Coverage

Daytime sedation sessions – 8-hour guarantee

Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

No nights, weekends, or call

Flexible: part-time locums coverage available up to 3 months out

Work Details

Setting: Outpatient pediatric dental sedation center (ambulatory/clinic)

Patients: Pediatric only (ages 3–10, ≤99 lbs)

Patient Volume: ~5–6 cases/day (90-minute procedural appointments)

Focus: Sedation safety, airway management, patient comfort & recovery

Support: Pediatric dentists on site

Procedures: Incremental sedation (minimal → deep), airway management, recovery oversight


Requirements

Board Certified in Pediatric Anesthesiology (MD/DO) – Required

Active Florida medical license (or willing to obtain)

DEA – Required

CSR – Required (if applicable in Florida)

PALS – Required

Pediatric sedation experience (dental or outpatient preferred)

Minimum 2 years experience
