Job description
A hospital-based anesthesia group in Central North Carolina is seeking an Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment beginning in late 2026.
The physician must be flexible and willing to provide coverage at multiple nearby hospital and outpatient locations within the same healthcare network. The schedule includes a mixture of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts. Candidates must also be available for weekday call and occasional 24-hour weekend call. The required call response time is approximately 30 minutes.

Candidates must be proficient in healthy pediatric dental and ENT anesthesia, including cases involving younger pediatric patients. Physicians are responsible for performing blocks and may manage epidurals during call nights and weekends.
The practice follows a medical-supervision model with anesthesiologists overseeing CRNAs. Epic is used for electronic medical records. Credentialing generally takes 60–90 days, and a 10-panel drug screening that includes THC must be completed at least 40 days before the start date.
