Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Pediatric‑Trained Anesthesiologist for an academic, Level I Trauma hospital in Oklahoma. This is a high‑acuity environment and requires recent Level I Trauma experience. A surgery‑center–only background will not be a fit for this practice.
This opportunity is ideal for a provider who is comfortable managing complex pediatric and trauma cases while working collaboratively within an academic teaching hospital.
Position Details:

Practice Setting: Academic hospital, Level I Trauma
Patient Acuity: High‑acuity trauma and pediatric cases
Average Volume:

Hospital cases: 4–5 per day
Elective cases: 4–5 per day


Provider will perform own cases with some supervision of residents and CRNAs
Provide supportive assistance to residents and medical students
Hospital Size: Approximately 900 beds
Support Staff: Anesthesiology MDs, CRNAs, and ongoing daily clinical support
Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days
Travel assistance available (with caps)

Required Qualifications:

Board Certified (ABMS or AOA); Board Eligible accepted
Pediatric Fellowship Trained
Minimum 1 year of experience (no new graduates)
Recent Level I Trauma experience required
Must submit case logs showing at least 100 pediatric cases within the past 12 months
Comfortable functioning independently in a high‑acuity hospital environment
Active DEA
BLS certification through American Heart Association
PALS or ACLS certification
Clean background and no malpractice history
