Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist in Lewisburg, PA.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
Start Date: 09/21/2026
End Date: Ongoing (13-week assignment)

Position Highlights:
Practice in a rural acute care hospital with a broad surgical case mix.
High-volume orthopedic program requiring strong regional (nerve block) anesthesia skills.
Collaborative care model with a 1:3 Anesthesiologist-to-CRNA ratio using Epic EMR.
Position Details:

Patient Population: All ages (pediatric, adult, and geriatric)
Setting: Rural hospital.

Responsibilities:
Provide anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties.
Perform regional anesthesia, including nerve blocks, for orthopedic procedures.
Deliver perioperative care in collaboration with CRNAs, surgeons, and nursing staff.
Participate in weekday call coverage (3:00 PM–7:00 AM) when needed.

Required Procedures:
Regional (nerve block) anesthesia.
MAC anesthesia.
Spinal anesthesia.
Ultrasound-guided regional techniques.
General anesthesia for vascular, OB/GYN, GI, pediatrics, plastics, orthopedics, robotics, and urology procedures.

EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: CRNAs (1:3 supervision ratio), surgeons, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary surgical teams.

On-Call/Weekends: Weekday call (3:00 PM–7:00 AM) as needed. No routine weekend call specified.

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
Active Pennsylvania medical license (required at presentation).
ACLS and PALS certifications.
Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
NPDB Self-Query (within 6 months).
Provider questionnaire, CV, malpractice history, and availability for requested dates.
