Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist needed in Virginia

Job description

Position Highlights:
- Start Date: 10/1/26
- Contract Length: 6 months
- Shift Details: 1-2 weeks per month
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts

Work Details:
- Support staff: Other Anesthesiologists and CRNA’s
- Amount of coverage needed per month: 1-2 weeks per month
- Patients per day: Approximately 1–2 complex cardiac surgical cases per day or 2–5 catheterization/EP procedures, with additional responsibilities including pre-anesthetic evaluations, postoperative ICU management, multidisciplinary care coordination, teaching, and academic activities. Case volume varies based on procedure complexity and OR schedule.
- Patient population/age: infant to 18
- Department description: Level 1 trauma center.
- EMR: EPIC
- Hospital bed size: 820-890 beds
- Special procedures: ERCP (general and therapeutic) and EUS

- Practice Setting: Hospital

Requirements:
- Board Certification: required
- State license required: required
- Willing To License: YES
- DEA: required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Minimum experience required: 1-2 years

- Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
