PCICU/CVPICU APP Opportunity | San Francisco, CA | Open to CA License Candidates

Job description

Start Date: June 1, 2026
Contract Length: 6 months (option to extend)

Schedule & Shift Details:

Variable 12-hour shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays)
Must be able to provide at least 50% night or weekend coverage
Minimum of 4 shifts per month required
Optional night/weekend call (not guaranteed)

Procedures & Skills
APPs may perform IV placement and arterial lines
Opportunity for intubation and central lines (case-dependent)
Most advanced procedures handled by fellows/attendings

Required Skills:

Strong experience in pediatric cardiovascular critical care
Comfortable managing ECMO, CRRT, ventilators, and critical cardiac patients
Ability to work across neonatal to adult congenital populations
Team-oriented with strong communication and flexibility
Requirements

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of PCICU experience required
(Must be true PCICU – no stepdown or general ICU experience alone)
Heart failure experience preferred (not required)
