Pediatric Critical Care NP/PA Needed in Northern California

Job description

Pediatric Critical Care NP/PA (PCICU/CVPICU)
Start Date: February 2026
Contract Length: 6 months with option to extend
Schedule & Coverage:
Variable 12-hour shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays)
Must be able to provide at least 50% night or weekend coverage
Minimum of 4 shifts per month
Night/weekend call options available, but not guaranteed
Clinical Details:
Inpatient pediatric critical care setting
High-acuity cardiovascular population, including heart failure, ventilated patients, post-op cardiac cases, cath lab patients, ECMO, and transplant patients
ECMO experience preferred
APPs may place IVs and arterial lines; intubations and central lines possible
Most procedures performed by fellows or attendings
Requirements:
Board Certification: CPNP-AC
Active California license required (facility will license PAs)
DEA (CA, Schedule II)
BLS and PALS
Minimum 1 year of PCICU experience (no stepdown or non-surgical ICU)
Pediatric cardiovascular critical care experience required
Credentialing: Approximately 60–90 days
Medical malpractice insurance, travel, and lodging provided
