Job description

A hospital in California is seeking an experienced APP (NP or PA) for a locum tenens assignment on their Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery team, starting ASAP

Assignment Details:
Start Date: May 19, 2025

Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based CVTS team

Patient Population: Adults

EMR: Epic

Credentialing: ~60 days

Schedule: To be confirmed (full-time expected)

Rate: $275/hour all-inclusive

Case & Procedure Types:
CABGs

Thoracic cases

VADs and transplants

Vein harvesting

Chest tube (CT) and pacing wire (PW) removal

Chest X-ray (CXR) interpretation

Requirements:
Board Certification: Required

License: Active CA license required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Experience: 1–2 years minimum in a similar CVTS setting

• High-Acuity CVTS Exposure: Work on a full Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery service including CABGs, VADs, and transplants
• Hands-On Procedures: Vein harvesting, chest tube and pacing wire removal, and CXR interpretation required
• Streamlined Start: Credentialing in ~60 days with Epic EMR and a solid all-inclusive rate
