Pediatric Cardiac ICU APP Needed in CT (will license)

Job description

I have a client in New Haven, CT who's seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac ICU APP for locum coverage. Here are the details.

Start Date: February 9, 2026

Contract Length: 6 months

Shift Details: 3x12 hour night shifts per week

Schedule: 6p-6a; Tuesday-Thursday nights preferred with 1-2 weekends per month but can be flexible.

Work Details:
• Support staff: Full hospital support; night shift always has one attending and one fellow present as well.
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 12 shifts per month (3/week)
• Patients per day: Generally 5-6 patients but on surgery days that can spike to 10-12.
• Patient population/age: peds
• Department description: Cardiac ICU
• EMR: EPIC
• Special procedures: central line placement, intubation, ART line, experience with pacer wires a plus but not required
• Skills required: procedures above in addition to bedside rounding, good communication skills to work with surgeons

Practice Setting:
• Hospital

Requirements:
• Board Certification: certified ACNP or Physician Assistant
• State license required: preferred, but will consider licensure
• DEA: Yes
• CSR: Yes
• Certifications required: PALS and ACLS
• Minimum experience required: 3 years minimum

Credentialing Timeframe: 120 days
