Job description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join a collaborative neonatal care team in Sacramento, California on a locum tenens basis. The NNP will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to newborns in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) setting while working closely with neonatologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary staff to support optimal outcomes for infants and their families.

Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care to neonates in the NICU, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Perform neonatal procedures and manage acute and chronic neonatal conditions.
Collaborate with neonatologists and the broader care team to develop and implement treatment plans.
Communicate effectively with families, offering education and support.
Document patient care accurately within the electronic health record.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program
National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Active California NP license
Current BLS, PALS, NRP certification
Prior NICU experience preferred
