PICU/TCUP NP/PA Locums Opportunity – California
Job description
Highlights:

Opportunity Details
Location: California
Start Date:
• August 31, 2026 (pending credentialing)
Assignment Length:
• 26 Weeks
Schedule:
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Variable schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Providers must be able to offer at least 50% night and/or weekend availability
• Optional night and weekend call opportunities may be available
Practice Details:
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Transitional Care Unit
• Pediatric patient population
• EPIC EMR
• Approximately 12 shifts per month
Clinical Responsibilities:
• Management of critically ill pediatric patients
• Care of patients recovering from surgery and complex medical conditions
• Management of patients requiring advanced respiratory support, including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Care of transplant, neurosurgery, ENT, and medically complex pediatric patients
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary pediatric specialty teams
Requirements:
• Active California License Required
• DEA Required
• Minimum 1 year of PICU, PCICU, or Pediatric Hospitalist experience
• For Nurse Practitioners: CPNP-AC certification required
• For Physician Assistants: Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Medical Studies required
Credentialing:
• Estimated 60–90 days
