🔥 Pediatric Critical Care Opportunity – Toledo, OH

🩺 Specialty: Pediatric Critical Care
🏥 Practice Setting: Academic Hospital
📅 Start: ASAP, upon completion of credentialing
📆 Assignment: Through approximately March 2027, or until a permanent 1.0 FTE provider is hired
⏳ Credentialing: 30–60 days
💻 EMR: Epic

Coverage Needed:
• 24/7 coverage
• Combination of day and night shifts
• Goal: 10–12 shifts per month
• 12-hour shifts: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM and 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
• No call — coverage is provided through scheduled shifts
• No clinic

Clinical Responsibilities:
• Inpatient pediatric coverage
• Rounding required
• Admissions required
• Average admissions/patients: 4–12 per day
• Patient population: Newborn–17 years
• Patients are admitted from the ER, outside ERs, and outside physician offices
• LPs may be performed if comfortable; resident learners are available to perform LPs if needed

🏥 Facility Details:
• 169-bed hospital, including NICU and PICU
• PICU: 15 beds + 3 flex beds
• Full ancillary services available, including:

* X-ray
* EKG
* MRI
* CT
* Ultrasound
• Specialists available by phone, except Dermatology
• Support staff includes 1 Office Manager and 1 Operations Director

🩺 Procedures:

MD/DO:
• Intubation
• Central lines
• Chest tubes
• Arterial lines
• Lumbar punctures, if comfortable

PA/ACNP:
• Procedures are not required
• Resident learners are available to assist with procedures as needed

Requirements – MD/DO:
• Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
• Active MD or DO license
• DEA
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Requirements – PA/ACNP:
• Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
• Active PA or ACNP license
• DEA
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Interview:
• Phone or virtual interview required
• No site visit required

✈️ Travel:
• No travel required — practice is at one location
