📋 Contract Details
🔹 Specialty: Pediatric Critical Care Physician
🔹 Employment Type: Locum Tenens (1099)
🔹 Anticipated Start Date: September 28, 2026
🔹 Assignment Length: 13 weeks
🔹 Schedule: Weekend-only 24-hour on-campus call coverage
🔹 Shift: Saturday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM (24-hour shifts from 7:00 AM–7:00 AM)
🔹 Coverage Needed: Weekend 24-hour shifts
🔹 Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days
🔹 Travel: Airfare, rental car or mileage covered; onsite call room provided for lodging

🏥 Site Details & Clinical Scope
🔹 Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
🔹 Average Daily Census: 11 patients
🔹 Patient Population: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents
🔹 EMR: Epic
🔹 Clinical Environment: Pediatric ICU with medical, surgical, and neuro critical care; Level II & III NICU, pediatric inpatient unit, 24-hour radiology, CT, MRI, laboratory, operating room, and multidisciplinary pediatric specialty support
🔹 Responsibilities: Daily rounds with pediatric/ED residents, overnight call with resident coverage, management of critically ill pediatric patients
🔹 Procedures: Cardiac and respiratory arrest management, sepsis, renal failure, poisoning, traumatic injuries, postoperative critical care, ventilator management, chest tube insertion, central and arterial line placement, transfusions, intracranial pressure evaluation, hemodialysis, diagnostic taps
🔹 Equipment: Point-of-care ultrasound

📋 Candidate Requirements
🔹 Board Certification: Pediatric Critical Care
🔹 Active South Carolina medical license required
🔹 DEA required
🔹 Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
🔹 Minimum of 1 year of experience required
🔹 Must have Epic experience
🔹 Must be out of training and actively practicing for at least 2 years
🔹 Clean malpractice and background history required
🔹 Flu vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
