Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Physician for future locum tenens coverage at a high-volume pediatric emergency department in Ohio.

This opportunity offers the chance to work within a collaborative pediatric emergency medicine team across two campuses while treating a wide range of pediatric emergency cases in a fast-paced Level I Pediatric Trauma environment.

* Coverage across Main and South Campuses
* Work alongside 23 Emergency Medicine Physicians
* Supervision of APPs and Residents
* EPIC EMR
* Ongoing locum coverage needs

# Shift Options

Examples of available shifts include:

* 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
* 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
* 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
* 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
* 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Weekend rotation required.

* Annual ER Volume: 101,000+ patients
* 59 Emergency Department beds
* Fast Track handles approximately 40% of total ED volume
* Strong multidisciplinary pediatric support services available 24/7

On-site specialty support includes:

* Pediatric Neurosurgery
* Orthopedic Surgery
* Pediatric Cardiology
* Critical Care
* Neurology
* Gastroenterology
* Hematology/Oncology
* Psychiatry

# Responsibilities

* Provide emergency medical care for pediatric patients across varying acuity levels
* Supervise Advanced Practice Providers and Residents
* Perform initial EKG interpretations
* Coordinate admissions and patient transfers
* Collaborate with EMS and transport teams as needed

# Requirements

* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM)
* Active BLS Certification
* Active PALS Certification
* Active ATLS Certification
* Active Ohio Medical License preferred
* Providers willing to obtain Ohio licensure will be considered

• Shift: Varied 8 to 10-hour shifts.
