Pediatric Endocrinology Locums – Alaska | Hybrid Onsite & Virtual Call | 12-Month Assignment

Job description

We are seeking a board-certified Pediatric Endocrinologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment beginning January 2027. This position offers a unique hybrid coverage model, combining in-person outpatient clinic responsibilities with remote hospital call coverage.

Start Date: January 4, 2027
End Date: Ongoing, at least until January 4, 2028
Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Patient Volume: Approximately 15 patients per clinic shift
EMR: Epic
Trauma Level: II

Schedule & Coverage

- 2 Weeks Per Month – Onsite Coverage
- Monday–Friday clinic, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Weeknight beeper call
- 24-hour weekend beeper call
- In-person clinical responsibilities
- 2 Weeks Per Month – Virtual Coverage
- Remote hospital call coverage
- 24-hour call availability
- No onsite presence required during virtual coverage weeks
- Long-term availability for both onsite and virtual coverage is strongly preferred to support continuity of care.

Requirements

Board certification
Pediatric Endocrinology training
Active DEA

** Candidates without an active Alaska license may be considered, including those eligible for temporary licensure while full licensure is pending
