Pediatric Endocrinology Locum Opportunity – Long Beach, CA ***NEW GRADS WELCOMED**

Job description

• Specialty: Pediatric Endocrinology
• Location: Long Beach, CA
• Start Date: December
• Ongoing need
• Schedule: 1 week per month, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Weeknight and weekend call coverage
• Local candidates highly preferred
• Video visits may be an option
• Newly completed fellows are welcome to apply

Clinical Responsibilities

• Approximately a half day of clinic each day
• Hospital rounding
• Weeknight and weekend call from the ER, NICU, PICU, inpatient hospitalists, and other services
• Insulin pump management
• Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) management
• Supervision of the infusion center performing stimulation testing and other endocrine tests

The facility is flexible regarding the clinic schedule and is currently determining the anticipated callback volume. Due to current staffing, there is typically only one locum provider per day.

Requirements

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Endocrinology
• Newly completed fellowship candidates may be considered if within the required timeframe to sit for boards
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Active California medical license
• Epic EMR experience required
• Clean background, malpractice, and licensing history required
• Any background, malpractice, or licensing issues may delay the privileging process and could impact consideration
• Local candidates highly preferred
