Pediatric Endocrinology Locum Tenens - California - One Week per Month

Aya Locums is seeking a Pediatric Endocrinology physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment in California. The current need is approximately one week of coverage per month and includes both outpatient and inpatient Pediatric Endocrinology responsibilities.

Coverage is generally Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with weeknight and weekend call during the scheduled coverage week.

The clinical mix includes outpatient clinic, hospital rounding, and Pediatric Endocrinology consults from the emergency department, NICU, PICU, and inpatient teams. The physician should be comfortable managing a broad Pediatric Endocrinology population, including diabetes care, insulin pumps, and continuous glucose monitoring.

The practice also includes supervision of endocrine testing performed through the infusion center. No surgical procedures are involved.

Epic is used for documentation.

Assignment Details:

Approximately one week per month
Ongoing coverage
Monday - Friday daytime schedule
Weeknight and weekend call during the coverage week
Outpatient Pediatric Endocrinology
Inpatient rounding and consults
Diabetes management
Insulin pump and CGM management
Endocrine testing oversight
Epic

Requirements:

Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology
Active California medical license
Active DEA
Epic experience
Recent fellowship graduates may be considered

The facility is also open to physicians who may ultimately have interest in a longer-term position, although permanent interest is not required for locum coverage.
