Facility in Mountain Home, AR seeking Peds Hospitalist locums coverage Rates: $4000/weekend Opportunity Highlights Consistent Schedule: Provide call coverage for one weekend per month, from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 7 AM. Flexible Call: This position allows for call to be taken from home with a 30-minute response time. Minimal Patient Volume: You will be responsible for newborn nursery, ER coverage, and the inpatient med-ped unit. Inpatient volume is very low (0-2 patients). The newborn nursery averages 5 babies over a weekend. ER coverage consists of 2-3 calls per day, which can generally be handled over the phone. EMR System: Utilize Cerner for charting; Cerner experience is preferred. Quick Credentialing: The credentialing process can be expedited, taking only 3-4 weeks if the physician can provide case logs and has an active Arkansas license. Required Skills: Must know how to intubate and place lines, and be able to stabilize infants who may need to be transported. Circumcision skills are not required. Responsibilities Be available for 24-hour on-call coverage from Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM. Round at least once daily on Saturday and Sunday in the inpatient unit and the newborn nursery. Provide phone-call coverage for the ER and inpatient units as needed. Handle and stabilize any emergent issues that require an in-person response. Provider Requirements Board Status: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Pediatrics. New graduates are welcome to apply. Licensure: An active Arkansas license is REQUIRED to be considered. We are not able to license providers for this position. Experience: Must be able to intubate and place lines, and stabilize infants. Vaccinations: COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations are required, though medical/religious exemptions and declinations are allowed. Start Date: Must be willing to start within 4-5 weeks of application.
