Pediatric Hospitalist – Call Coverage (California)

End Date: Ongoing
Coverage Type: Call Only
Practice Setting: Inpatient

Schedule

24-hour call only (6:00am–6:00am)

Not required to be in house

Coverage Dates Needed:

March 12 (6am) – March 19 (6am)

April 4 (6am) – April 6 (6am)

April 22 (6am) – April 26 (6am)

Work Details

Patient Population: Pediatric

Providers Needed: 1

EMR: Epic

Required Skills

Neonatal airway management, including intubation (ETT/NT)

Needle decompression for pneumothorax

Arterial line placement

UVC/UAC placement

Emergent UVC placement (delivery room)

EKG interpretation

Note: Central line placement is limited to the newborn period only (UVC/UAC). Pediatric intubations and chest tubes are typically managed in the ED.

Requirements

Board Status: Board Certified or truly Board Eligible

License: Active California license required

Certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, PALS
