Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity in Milton, Florida

Position Highlights:
•Start Date: November 21, 2026
•Contract Length: November 21, 2026 – December 31, 2026
•Shift Details: 24-hour call with approximately 4 hours of inpatient rounding (gratis work) per day
•Schedule:
11/21/2026 @ 7:00 AM – 11/30/2026 @ 7:00 AM
12/21/2026 @ 7:00 AM – 12/31/2026 @ 7:00 AM
•Call Requirements:
24-hour beeper call
1:1 call ratio
30-minute response time
1–2 phone consults/day
<10% callback rate
Average 6–7 patients/day
Covers both inpatient rounding and call

Work Details:
• Support staff: 2 RNs
• Amount of coverage needed per month: Two holiday coverage blocks (11/21–11/30 and 12/21–12/31)
• Patients per day: 6–7
• Patient population/age: Newborn/Pediatrics
• Department description: 15-bassinet Level I Nursery with daily inpatient newborn rounding (~2 hours/day) and call coverage. Anticipated callback is minimal.
• EMR: Cerner
• Hospital bed size: 15 bassinets (nursery)
• Special procedures: Circumcisions preferred; inpatient newborn care and admissions required
• Skills required: Pediatric inpatient rounding, newborn care, call coverage

Practice Setting:
• Hospital (Inpatient)

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Board Certified Pediatrics required
• License required: Active Florida license
• Certifications required: PALS


Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days (temporary privileges available)

• November start
• Specific shifts to cover
• 24 hour on call
