Pediatric Hospitalist Needed in Milton, FL | Holiday Coverage | Level I Nursery | Low Callback

Job description

Start: November 21, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed) - holiday coverage
Length: Two holiday coverage blocks - 11/21/2026 7:00 AM through 11/30/2026 7:00 AM, and 12/21/2026 7:00 AM through 12/31/2026 7:00 AM. Client prefers the same provider for both blocks.

Coverage: Inpatient newborn/pediatric rounding and call
Schedule: 24-hour call with approximately 4 hours of inpatient rounding per day
Call: 24-hour beeper call, 1:1 ratio, 30-minute response time; 1-2 phone consults per day; under 10% callback rate

Volume: Average 6-7 patients per day
Patient Population: Newborn and pediatric
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital - 15-bassinet Level I Nursery
Support: 2 RNs

Responsibilities:
- Daily inpatient newborn rounding and call coverage
- Inpatient newborn care and admissions
- Circumcisions preferred
- Timely documentation in Cerner

Requirements:
- Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Active Florida license required
- PALS certification required
- Credentialing timeline: approximately 30 days - temporary privileges available
