Job description

Highlights:
• Low Daily Patient Volume with Excellent Work-Life Balance
• NRP Required with Newborn Care Experience
• No Management of Critically Ill Pediatric Patients or Sick Newborns

Opportunity Details

Practice Setting: Hospital-Based Pediatric Coverage

Patient Volume:
• Average of 1–5 newborns per day
• Average of 0–2 pediatric patients per day

Responsibilities:
• Daily rounding on newborn and pediatric patients
• Return to the hospital approximately every 3–4 shifts for urgent needs, including:

Sick newborn evaluations
Attendance at deliveries with anticipated newborn resuscitation
Pediatric admissions

Clinical Support:
• Sick newborns and critically ill pediatric patients are transferred to a tertiary care facility for higher-level care

Requirements:
• Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician preferred
• Family Medicine physicians with strong pediatric experience considered
• Active Minnesota License required
• NRP certification required
• Local providers preferred
