Pediatric Hospitalist opportunity available in New York
Coverage Type: 24-hour call shifts
Schedule: Weekday and weekend coverage required

Additional Details:

Coverage includes the newborn nursery, high-risk deliveries, ER consults, and the pediatric inpatient unit
Multiple consecutive 24-hour shifts may be available based on coverage needs
Provider may remain out of the hospital when there are no acute hospital issues
Must be able to return to the hospital within 20 minutes while on call
Four hours of gratis time if called in for patient care
No floating required
Level I nursery with high-risk deliveries
Must be able to resuscitate and stabilize critically ill newborns pending transport to a NICU approximately 2.5 hours away in good conditions
Typically 4–10 newborns and 0–3 pediatric inpatients
Epic EMR with templates and order sets available
Support includes one Pediatrician, one OB physician and/or midwife, and 24/7 anesthesia coverage
CNA/CMA support available

Licensure: Active New York medical license required
Requirements: Board-certified Pediatrician only
Certifications: NRP, PALS, and BLS required

• 24-hour Pediatric Hospitalist call shifts with weekday and weekend coverage, including the newborn nursery, high-risk deliveries, ER consults, and pediatric inpatient unit.
• Level I nursery with high-risk deliveries; must be able to resuscitate and stabilize critically ill newborns pending NICU transport.
• Active New York license and board certification in Pediatrics required, along with NRP, PALS, and BLS certifications. Must remain within 20 minutes of the hospital while on call.
