Pediatric Hospitalist Physician Opportunity – Mountain West Region

Job description

Assignment Details:
• Start: November 2026
• Assignment Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: 12-hour in-house shifts
• Day and night shifts available
• Setting: Inpatient pediatrics and neonatal care

Clinical Details:
• Average pediatric census of approximately 3–4 patients per day
• Level II nursery/NICU coverage
• Average NICU census of approximately 2–3 patients
• Delivery attendance and newborn care
• Pediatric and neonatal stabilization with specialty telehealth support available
• EMR: Epic

Required Procedures/Experience:
• Lumbar puncture
• Umbilical line placement
• CPAP and other non-invasive respiratory support
• Neonatal and pediatric stabilization
• Intubation and ventilator management when required for stabilization
• Management of common acute pediatric and neonatal conditions
• Circumcision and routine newborn procedures
• Comfortable responding to pediatric/neonatal emergencies and facilitating higher-level transfers

Requirements:
• Board certification in Pediatrics required
• Experience with inpatient pediatric and neonatal care
• Comfortable with neonatal and pediatric stabilization procedures

Additional Information:
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 4–6 weeks
• Ongoing coverage opportunity
• Higher-level NICU/PICU support available for stabilization and transfer

• 12-hr shifts
• Level 2 nursery/NICU coverage
• 3-6 months, potentially long-term assignment
