Pediatric Diabetes Nurse Practitioner – Baltimore, MD:
📅 Start Date: ASAP, targeting October 26, 2026
📋 Contract: Through February 1, 2027
⏰ Schedule: 4 days per week, 8 AM–5 PM
🏥 Setting: Outpatient Pediatric Endocrinology/Diabetes Clinic
👥 Patient Volume: Approximately 10–12 patients per day
📞 Call: None
💻 EMR: Epic
Position Details:
Manage pediatric patients with Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and other endocrine conditions
Evaluate patients and adjust insulin dosages as needed
Prescribe diabetes medications, including GLP-1 and SGLT2 medications when appropriate
Order screenings in accordance with ADA guidelines
Collaborate with endocrinology faculty, nutrition, social work, and behavioral health teams
Requirements:
Active Maryland NP license
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification required
Previous pediatric diabetes management experience
Experience with insulin adjustments and diabetes medication management
BLS and ACLS certifications
