PRN Locums Pediatric Radiologist needed in CA

Job description

Coverage & Schedule
• Start Date: February 16, 2026
• Coverage Type: PRN
• Weekday Day Shift:
○ Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (9 hours), in-house


• Reads all pediatric inpatient & ER studies 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Mix: mostly plain films; ~15% US/CT/MR (no nuclear medicine)
• Reads overnight studies + morning film load (~3 continuous hours)
• Afternoon cases intermittent; checks every 30–60 minutes
• On-call for urgent pediatric fluoroscopic procedures (non-interventional)
• After 6 PM: responsible for inpatient consults until StatRad takes over at 11 PM
• Typical weekend volume: ~60–80 studies (full weekday-equivalent workload)

• PACS: Required
• Support Staff: Hospital-based
• Procedures: Pediatric fluoroscopy when onsite
• Trauma / Code Stroke: Not routinely covered (rare; ~1/day)
