Pediatric Radiologist Opportunity in Kentucky

Job description

We are seeking a Pediatric Radiologist to join a well-supported, hospital-based pediatric radiology department. This is an ongoing opportunity in a 300-bed teaching facility, offering strong clinical support, advanced technology, and the chance to work closely with pediatric specialists, fellows, and new graduates.
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (90–120 days)
Contract Length: Ongoing
Schedule: Full-Time (Flexible availability considered)

Schedule & Call
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Assigned reads typically completed by 4:45 PM
1-hour lunch break
Call: Nights and weekends required

Coverage Needed: 1.0 FTE
Clinical Details
Patient Population: Pediatrics (Ages 0–17)
Volume: 80–120 studies per day

Case Mix:
Heavy plain film and ultrasound (60–90/day)
CT and MRI (body and pediatric-focused)
CT Neuro (required for weekend coverage)
Nuclear Medicine, PET, and Fetal Imaging are major pluses

EMR: EPIC
PACS: McKesson
Dictation: PowerScribe 1

Dedicated and highly experienced techs and support staff
On-site Program Director and Medical Director
Collaborative environment with managers and supervisors
Teaching hospital setting with interaction with fellows and new grads

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 2 years of residency/fellowship completion)
Pediatric radiology training required (Peds fellowship preferred)
Recent pediatric experience required
CT Neuro experience required for weekend call
Licensure: Kentucky and Indiana (IMLC and licensing candidates accepted)
