This premier pediatric medical center is a leading children's hospital providing comprehensive specialized care with 135 beds. The facility operates as a Level 1 Trauma and Level 1 Pediatric center, offering state-of-the-art medical services and maintaining stroke certification for advanced patient care.

Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - Pediatric

Job Details:
• Must hold active Pennsylvania medical license - no other states accepted
• Board certification required with fellowship training mandatory
• Inpatient rounds and 24/7 coverage for new consults and trauma cases
• Initial assignment July 24-27, 6AM to 6AM shifts with ongoing opportunities
• Weekend call coverage Saturday-Sunday, 7AM to 7AM
• 15-minute call response time requirement with 100% callback ratio
• Average 3-5 patients seen while on call with 1-2 admissions per shift
• Handle pediatric, adult, and neonate general surgery cases
• Perform laparoscopic procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty
• Manage trauma surgery and chest wall/pleural procedures
• Conduct specialized pediatric procedures including artesias, abdominal wall defects, and umbilical hernias
• Perform central line insertion, chest tube placement, and upper GI endoscopy
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system
• Clean NPDB and malpractice history required for expedited credentialing
• 90-day credentialing timeframe with temporary privileges available
• Rounding responsibilities for unassigned patients
