Locum Pediatric Surgeon Needed – 24-Hour Call Blocks – Southwestern US

Job description

A hospital in the Southwest is urgently seeking a board-certified Pediatric Surgeon to cover 24-hour call shifts across select multi-day windows.

You'll be managing a full range of pediatric surgical procedures, including high-acuity neonatal and congenital anomalies. This is a call-only role with no clinic or scheduled OR time—perfect for a high-skill surgeon who enjoys short bursts of impactful care.

🔹 Assignment Highlights:
• Call-only – 24-hour beeper
• Inpatient only – no clinic/OR obligations during non-call hours
• Broad surgical mix: from laparoscopic and head/neck procedures to PDA ligation, diaphragmatic hernia, GI and chest wall repairs
• EMR: Cerner
• Block dates available (August & September)

🔹 Requirements:
• Pediatric Surgery board certification
• Experience with complex neonatal and pediatric surgeries strongly preferred
