Locum-to-Permanent Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Pediatric Anesthesia

Credentialing Timeline: 60 to 90 Days

Facility & Clinical Overview

Setting & Volume: Level I Pediatric Trauma Center running ~13,000 surgical cases annually across 11 main operating rooms, 4 ambulatory surgical ORs, and dedicated Medical Imaging/Interventional Radiology suites.

Case Load: 1 to 15 surgical cases per day (0 pain management cases).

Practice Model: Collaborative Care Team model supervised by Pediatric Anesthesiologists alongside physicians, CRNAs, and specialized pediatric surgical nursing staff.

Scope of Practice: Formulate and execute comprehensive pediatric and neonatal anesthesia care plans (induction, maintenance, and emergence) derived from pre-operative evaluations.

Compensation & Full-Time Benefits Structure

Base Salary: Up to $325,000 / year (tiered based on experience: 0–2 yrs, 2–5 yrs, 5+ yrs).

Incentives: Sign-on bonus (commensurate with contract commitment) and annual performance incentive bonuses.

Paid Time Off & CME:

PTO/CME Accrual: 291 hours (0–5 years experience) or 331 hours (5+ years experience).

$3,500 annual CME allowance.

Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements

Education & Certifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited AANA-approved nurse anesthesia program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) [REQUIRED].

Board Certification: Active NBCRNA Board Certification / AANA Certification [REQUIRED].

Life Support Certifications: Active BLS and PALS certifications [REQUIRED].

Licensure & Background:

State Licensure: Active Ohio APRN/CRNA License [PREFERRED — candidates willing to obtain are accepted].

NPDB Report: Active Self-Query NPDB report pulled within the last 30 days [REQUIRED at presentation — no exemptions].

Experience & Background:

Pediatric Experience: New graduates accepted ONLY if they possess dedicated pediatric clinical experience [REQUIRED].

Preferred Background: 1–3 years of specialized neonatal and/or pediatric anesthesia experience [PREFERRED].

  • 8 or 10-Hour Day Shifts (0700–1530 or 0700–1730); Monday–Friday
