Pediatric Critical Care continues to be a consistent and growing need in the locum tenens space. If Texas isn't your ideal state, let's get together and see if there are other areas of the country that could be a strategic license to obtain ahead of time.

• BC/BE: BC – Will look at NP’s and PA’s. If Provider is an NP they MUST be critical care certified. If they are a PA, alternate certs are applicable.
• Dates needed: ASAP ongoing need
• Schedule: Ideal locum candidates can provide at least 4-6 shifts per 4-week block;
o Variable – days, evenings, nights, & weekends as part of a 24/7/365 coverage model
o Weekend, Night, and Holiday work is shared equally among all team members
o Current shifts include:
o 10-hour evenings (1300-2300)
o 12-hour Days/Nights (0700-1900, 1900-0700)
Specialty skills and procedures: Arterial line placement, Central Venous Line Placement, Chest Tube Placement, Endotracheal Intubation, Lumbar Puncture, PICC Placement
• Call: In-house night call responsibilities are shared among all team members who have completed orientation to nights.
• Patients per day: PICU: 4-6 patients during the day; night call includes all patients assigned to the team at checkout as well as any new admission assigned to team.
• EMR: Epic
• Interview process/timeline from time of presentation: Name clear, candidate submittal, schedule 30-minute virtual teams interview and will confirm if they want to extend an offer after the interview.
• Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
• BLS, PALS NPR certification
• Other information: client prefers to initially offer a 13-week contract, but will consider a 26-week assignment, case-by-case
