Job description

Pediatric Cardiology PA – Locum Tenens

📍 **New York**
📅 **Start:** December 2026
📋 **Contract:** 6 months
🏥 **Setting:** Inpatient & Outpatient Pediatric Cardiology

### Schedule

* 3x12-hour night shifts | **7 PM–7 AM**
* Coverage needed **Thursday–Sunday**
* Multiple providers will be considered
* Expected 30-minute unpaid lunch

### Patient Population & Responsibilities

* Pediatric patients ages **0–18**
* Pre- and post-transplant patients
* Heart failure
* Heart disease
* EMR: **Epic**

### Support

You will have strong overnight support, including:

* Resident on-site overnight
* Cardiology fellow in-house for immediate escalation
* ICU fellow and attending support
* Cardiology attending available from home

### Requirements

* NCCPA-Certified Physician Assistant
* Pediatric cardiology experience required
* **1+ year of experience preferred**
* Will consider **6 months of experience from a major cardiac center**
* PALS required
* DEA & CSR required
* New York license preferred, but **licensing assistance is available and candidates with a pending NY license will be considered**
* Vaccination requirements apply; approved medical exemptions/declinations may be considered where applicable

### Credentialing

* Approximately **12–14 weeks**
* Candidates with an active NY license may be considered for emergency credentialing to potentially start sooner
* Name clear required
* Must disclose any previous permanent or agency work with NYP
