Facility:
This medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services to the local community with a focus on maternal and newborn care. The facility maintains a Level I Nursery with a 6-bed department and handles approximately 700-800 births annually, providing essential pediatric coverage for the region.

Opportunity:
Physician - Pediatrics

Job Details:
• Provide pediatric coverage specifically for births and newborn care
• Handle 0-5 patient encounters per shift with an average of 2 newborns per day
• Work in Level I Nursery setting with stabilization of infants requiring higher level of care until transfer
• Shifts typically one weekend per month with some holidays, schedule varies month to month
• Shift hours from 12pm to 9pm on pager call basis
• No ER or OR call back requirements
• Admissions required but occur very infrequently
• Must maintain Alabama license or IMLC eligibility
• Board certification eligible required
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Comprehensive skill set required including ventilation management for newborns and pediatrics
• Proficiency in intubation, conscious and deep sedation, central lines, and arterial lines
• Experience with UVC/UAC placement, lumbar puncture, and various procedures
• X-ray and EKG interpretation skills essential
• Circumcision experience required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 45 days
