We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatric Surgeon for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity at a respected inpatient medical center in Tucson, Arizona. This call-only assignment offers an excellent opportunity to provide specialized pediatric surgical care while enjoying a flexible schedule.

The facility utilizes Epic EMR, offers temporary privileges, and is seeking two physicians to help provide continuous coverage.

Job Responsibilities
Provide call coverage for pediatric surgery patients.
Evaluate, diagnose, and surgically manage pediatric patients requiring emergency and inpatient surgical care.
Perform urgent and emergent pediatric surgical procedures as needed.
Admit patients requiring surgical intervention.
Collaborate with pediatricians, emergency medicine physicians, anesthesiologists, and hospital staff.
Document patient encounters accurately using the Epic EMR system.
Ensure timely communication regarding patient care and treatment plans.
Follow facility policies and evidence-based clinical practices.

Qualifications
MD or DO degree.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery.
Active Arizona medical license (or eligible for licensure).
Current DEA registration.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Experience providing inpatient pediatric surgical care.
Comfortable managing emergency surgical consultations and admissions.
Epic EMR experience preferred.
