Opportunity:
Physician - Pediatric Hospitalist - Pediatrics - Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
Job Details:
- Urgent locum tenens coverage needed; 24-hour beeper call schedule from 10/16 at 6am through 10/19 at 6am
- Provider must be a pediatric hospitalist with neonatology experience, or a neonatologist comfortable seeing general pediatric patients
- Approximately 80% NICU and 20% general pediatrics case mix
- NICU patient population includes newborn resuscitations and management of 32-week premature infants and above
- Must have a clean file with no malpractice history, NPDB flags, restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions
- Active California medical license required; IMLC not accepted
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency required
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- DEA required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 15 days
- Neonatal airway management including intubation (newborn and pediatric) required
- Management of neonatal air leak and pneumothorax including needle decompression required
- Emergent UVC placement in delivery room required
- UVC and UAC placement required
- Central line placement required
- Lumbar puncture required
- EKG interpretation required
- Invasive ventilation management (ETT) required
- Current CV, completed application, RFA, 24 months of relevant activity, and references on standby required at time of submission
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
