Pediatrician Needed in Alma, GA | Locums-to-Perm | Newborn Nursery + Clinic | Willing to License

Job description

This is a full-time pediatrics opportunity at a critical access hospital in Alma, Georgia, offered as a locums-to-perm role over a six-month contract. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p, plus 1:3 call coverage. The target start is October 5, 2026, credentialing runs approximately 90-120 days, and full travel is covered.

The physician is the solo pediatrician, though supported by eight other providers in the practice. Responsibilities include newborn rounding and coverage of a Level I nursery with roughly 180 deliveries per year, along with covering emergency C-section deliveries only at OB request (which is rare). Volume runs 20-25 patients per day for a patient population aged 0-18.

Candidates should be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible, with an active state license (the client is willing to license), a DEA, and BLS and PALS.
