This regional hospital serves as a cornerstone of healthcare in northeastern Nevada, providing comprehensive medical services to the surrounding community. The facility features a 25-bed Med/Surge unit and a 7-bed ICU, with strong support structures in place for locum providers joining the team.

Opportunity:
Physician - Pediatrics

Job Details:

• Provide pediatric outpatient coverage with 2-3 patient encounters per shift
• Shifts are scheduled 7am to 7am
• Coverage needed across multiple scheduled blocks beginning September 21st through December 31st
• Active Nevada license or IMLC eligibility required to be considered
• Please note whether your provider IS participating with Nevada Medicaid; if not, please indicate whether your agency assists with provider enrollment
• Physicians are required to provide supporting notes on timesheet entries to verify callback hours (patient contact hours) and overtime hours submitted; telephone calls are not considered callback
• Board certification eligible accepted; board certification not required
• PALS certification required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 30 days
• Preferred skills include non-invasive and mechanical ventilation management for newborns and pediatric patients (acute and chronic)
• Preferred procedural skills include intubation (ETT/NT) for both newborns and pediatric patients
• Preferred skills include conscious and deep sedation
• Preferred skills include central line and arterial line placement, UVC, and UAC
• Preferred skills include lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tube insertion, and needle pneumothorax decompression
• Preferred skills include X-ray interpretation, EKG interpretation, and PA catheter management
• Preferred skills include exchange transfusion, suturing minor lacerations, circumcision, and swallow studies
