Pediatrics or Family Medicine Physician - 24-Hour Call Coverage on the Oregon Coast | Epic

Job description

Start: October 19, 2026 (ASAP need - or as soon as credentialed)
Length: Current approval through January 14, 2027 (open to extension)
Coverage: 24-hour unrestricted call for deliveries and newborn admissions following delivery only
Schedule: 7:00am-7:00am shifts; 14-21 days of coverage needed per month
Call: 24-hour call; provider must remain within 30 minutes of the hospital while on shift
Volume: Average 6-7 births per month; anticipated callback volume of 1-2 nights per week; average daily census of 1
Practice Setting: Inpatient, 21-bed critical access hospital
Procedures: Neonatal resuscitation

Attend deliveries and admit newborns following delivery
Provide inpatient newborn and pediatric care
Perform neonatal resuscitation as indicated
Solo coverage with tele-neonatology support accessible
Timely documentation in Epic

Requirements
Board Certified in Pediatrics or Family Medicine (MD/DO)
Active Oregon license required in hand - Oregon medical staff and CVO do not permit fast-tracking without a license for starts inside 90 days
NRP required
Epic experience required
Documentation of clinical activity within the last 24 months (case logs) representative of the privileges requested; residency logs accepted for recent graduates
COVID-19 vaccination required - no exemptions

Credentialing: Standard credentialing runs approximately 90 days from application submission; expedited and fast-track options may be available in some instances. Temporary privileges available up to 120 days.
