BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PHYSICIAN – LOCUM TENENS

Start Date: November 30, 2026
Assignment: Ongoing
Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient

REQUIREMENTS

✓ MD/DO – Behavioral Health/Psychiatry
✓ Washington license in hand at time of submission is strongly preferred
✓ IMLC candidates may be considered if they have an LOQ and can commit to applying for WA licensure immediately
✓ BLS required
✓ EPIC experience required

SCHEDULE & PRACTICE

✓ Inpatient and outpatient coverage
✓ Hospital and clinic privileges required
✓ Inpatient and outpatient locations are approximately 5 minutes apart
✓ Rounding, admissions, and discharges required
✓ Adult patient population
✓ No call requirement for this provider
✓ Approximately 12–14 patients per day overall

INPATIENT

✓ Approximately 5–7 patients per day
✓ Occasional new patients; primarily follow-ups
✓ 126-bed hospital
✓ Provider is supported by a psychiatric hospitalist on the floor from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
✓ Experienced NP available as APP support

OUTPATIENT

✓ New patients: approximately 90 minutes
✓ Transfers: approximately 60 minutes
✓ Follow-ups: approximately 30 minutes
✓ Schedule includes dedicated documentation time
✓ No overbooking or overflow of Behavioral Health patients

CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS

✓ Documentation of at least 100 patients representative of the scope and complexity of the requested privileges during the previous 24 months
✓ Case list must include diagnosis/procedure, date, and facility where services were performed
