PM&R - San Francisco, CA - 2 weeks per month minimum

Job description

Shift Details: weekday coverage, 5x8/week on site. Night call at home after shift. 2 weeks per month minimum
Schedule: M-F
Call requirements: night call. Call volume fluctuates

Work Details:
• Amount of coverage needed per month: every week, May-July
• Patients per day: approx 13-15/day
• Patient population (spinal cord injury, stroke, TBI, ortho, general rehab, pain management)? Not TBI or spinal cord at present
• Department description: inpatient acute care rehab units. Provider will be responsible for admissions, discharges, and rounding. There are internal and general medicine providers available for acure medical issues. Consult services available (neurology, orthopedics, pain, internal medicine)
• Case mix — general PM&R vs. subspecialty-focused? General for now
• Special procedures: prefer providers who are able to do bread and butter PM&R procedures like joint injections, spasticity management with Botox or intrathecal baclofen pumps. **EMG/NCS NOT required for weekend covg

Practice Setting:
• Hospital Inpatient

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Will take BE or BC
• License required: yes, CA license required
• DEA: yes, CA DEA required
• Certifications preferred: n/a
• Certifications required: AHA BLS
• Minimum experience required: must have at least 2 year experience working inpatient PM&R
Credentialing Timeframe: around 45 days, facility will pursue urgent temps in order to have providers start in May
